The BECA Mission is to provide financial aid to local students with high aptitude for learning.  These students may otherwise be unable to attend school due to financial constraints. In the 2009-2010 school year, the LMPOA BECA Committee awarded scholarships to 110 qualified students, totaling $24,450 (USD).  This included scholarships for 6 students enrolled in Elementary School, 23 in Junior High School, 59 in High School and 22 in University.   Students attending La Mision schools meeting the necessary criteria of excellent grades combined with verifiable financial needs are eligible for consideration.

BECA students must maintain high grades and show an intense desire to improve, advance and excel in education.  The primary goal of the BECA Committee is to keep the best and brightest kids in school and offer extended educational opportunities to these future leaders of our community.
